Stickits Glue Dots are little flat circles of glue, half inch diameter, with adhesive capacity on each side.
Sandy finds these perfect for assisting with fussy cutting whilst using a perspex cutting template. They are an English paper piecer’s must-have for perfect repeating fussy-cuts of fabric for designs.
Simply line up your first cut on the fabric, place a glue dot on the underside of your template, position the template on the fabric to create your first cut. Use your rotary cutter, and cut around your template. When you’re done, the fabric will stay adhered to your template, and you can use it like a puzzle piece to slide it into the exact position on your fabric (keep moving it until the fabric design is completely uninterrupted and you know it is in the exact spot) and create your next cut. Continue re-creating the same cut. How easy is that?!
